Human FAQ

How long will a human physio session take?

Typically our physio sessions take 1 hour. This involves a discussion on your presenting condition, medical history and other relevant information. We will then undertake a full assessment before discussing and carrying out relevant treatment options. At the end of the session we will advise you on our findings and provide a home exercise programme.

How many sessions will I need?

Each session is tailored to the individual's needs. As a result the number of sessions required is dependent on the assessment findings and your treatment goals. The benefits are usually felt after the first session, however this can vary from person to person. We will always discuss with you the future plan and how many sessions may be required.

How can I prepare for the session?

Prior to the initial appointment we require you to complete our Client Registration Form. The registration form provides us with information about you as well as providing us with written consent to assess and treat. This will be emailed to you. We ask that the session takes place in a warm and dry area without distractions. Depending on the reason for your appointment we do need space to set up our treatment plinth and recommend an area and to allow us to move you around whilst providing treatment. Please ensure you have two large towels available.

What should I wear?

We recommend loose fitting, comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the physio to access the area requiring treatment.
