Rider Physiotherapy CHAPPS will provide an in depth assessment to identify areas of dysfunction. This will include a detailed history taking, movement analysis and palpation of soft tissue and joints. Following this, treatment will be based on assessment findings.
Indications for Physiotherapy: Pain and dysfunction post injury or surgery. Post surgical rehabilitation Muscle asymmetries, imbalances or weakness Dysfunctions in movement including stiffness Dysfunctions in posture including a slumped posture Difficulty with functional activities of daily living. Maintenance for sport persons Examples of conditions we treat: Soft tissue injuries including muscle, ligament or tendon sprain or strain Osteoarthritis Back pain including disc pathologies and facet joint dysfunction Traumatic injuries including post fracture rehabilitation Repetitive strain or overuse injuries Treatment Options: Soft tissue techniques including massage, myofascial release and trigger point release. Joint mobilisations Exercise therapy including home exercise programmes for strengthening and core stability Postural education Gait re-education Balance and proprioceptive training Kinesio taping Electrotherapy including Laser, H-Wave, muscle stimulation and PEMF. All treatment programmes will be tailored to the individual and may encompass a variety of the above treatments.
